EyeOnFreedom.com appreciates the President’s sudden awakening about the consequences of drowning in a mountain of debt. He cannot have it both ways however and spend one trillion dollars on “stimulus” and trillions more on health care subsidies and then complain about out of control spending. One reason people are overwhelming against his health plan is they appreciate that you cannot add one trillion dollars in new spending and claim it is deficit neutral without drastically adding to EVERYONE’S tax burden, directly or indirectly.

The President must think we are all so foolish as we will not appreciate the hypocrisy when he claims to be open and transparant yet negotiates health deals behind closed doors in the presence of only a select few in his own party for the benefit of their special interest union benefactors. Worse still are his cries against partisanship and a culture “where every day is election day” when President Obama LEADS the partisan war cries. But for the common sense and decency of the people of Massachusetts standing up and saying ENOUGH!, President Obama would have rammed through a deeply unpopular and economically crippling health bill that would have bankrupted the country for generations.

EyeOnFreedom.com welcomes President Obama’s call for all good ideas but the President cannot then claim that the only good ideas come from the left or that Republicans only say ‘No’ when he fails to consider their ideas in the first place. If the President was serious about ending the “deficit of trust,” he would do as Scott Brown suggested and start over with a health plan and an energy plan that achieve bi-partisan consensus. Until such time, follow the President’s deeds not his words. President Obama should focus on changing his own behavior before he casts aspersions and has the audacity to lecture others.
