Hamas Rises in the West

Led by US President Barack Obama, the West has cast its lot with Hamas against Israel.

It is not surprising that Obama is siding with Hamas. His close associates are leading members of the pro-Hamas Free Gaza outfit. Obama’s friends, former Weatherman Underground terrorists Bernadine Dohrn and William Ayres participated in a Free Gaza trip to Egypt in January. Their aim was to force the Egyptians to allow them into Gaza with 1,300 fellow Hamas supporters. Their mission was led by Code Pink leader and Obama fundraiser Jodie Evans. Another leading member of Free Gaza is former US senator from South Dakota James Abourezk.

All of these people have open lines of communication not only to the Obama White House, but to Obama himself.

Obama has made his sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood clear several times since entering office. The Muslim Brotherhood’s progeny include Hamas, al Qaida and the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, among others. Last June, Obama infuriated the Egyptian government when he insisted on inviting leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood to attend his speech at Al Azhar University in Cairo. His administration’s decision to deport Hamas deserter and Israeli counter-terror operative Mosab Hassan Yousef to the Palestinian Authority where he will be killed is the latest sign of their support for radical Islam.

Mosab Hassan Yousef is a best-selling author who wrote “Son of Hamas” about his life as a Palestinian who became an informant for Israeli intelligence. He’s probably near the top of every Islamist terror hit list, yet, incredibly enough, the U.S. may soon deport him as a terror threat.

Truth Behind The Harm-ada

The “Free Gaza” flotilla was far more than a collection of innocent “peace activists” trying to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza. Most passengers may have been nonviolent — but a significant minority were anything but.

The passengers reportedly included 100-plus members of various Muslim Brotherhood chapters, at least 20 of whom taped al Qaeda-style “martyr” videos before embarking.

And the chief organizers clearly had more than “peaceful” intentions for the flotilla.

The Middle East Media Research Institute reports that a Gaza-based Hamas leader declared last Friday — three days before the voyage started — that the head of the Turkish ship had told him: “We will not allow the Zionists to come near us, and we will wage resistance against them.”

The morning before the Israelis attempted to board, a Turkish passenger on the lead boat posted on Facebook, “The Turks are prepared with water canons [sic] and slingshots tonight I think all hell will break loose.”

The radical Islamic Turkish “charity” Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) was the chief financier of the fleet. At an April press conference, its chairman, Bulent Yildirim, admitted the real goal: “We are embarking on our journey together with over 1,000 people to break the embargo.”

Hamas refused on Wednesday to allow the aid equipment that was captured by the IDF aboard the flotilla ships earlier this week to enter the Gaza Strip.

“We refuse to receive the humanitarian aid until all those who were detained aboard the ships are released,” said Ahmed Kurd, Minister for Social Welfare in the Hamas government said. “We also insist that the equipment be delivered in its entirety.”

Kurd said that Israel’s decision to allow a number of wheelchairs to be delivered to the Gaza Strip was a “deception,” claiming that the batteries that operate them had been removed, making them useless.

The Hamas minister said that Israel’s decision to send some of the aid that was seized aboard the ships to the Gaza Strip was designed to divert attention from the “massacre” that took place in the sea.
